Open Forum: Separations Question and Answer Session

Abstract:

Ever had a chromatography question that was never answered at a traditional CFDV meeting?

At this meeting you will have a chance to have your questions answered in two different formats.

Happy ‘Hour’: 5:45 – 6:30 PM

Ask the Experts: 6:00 – 6:30 PM

Experts from the CFDV and other local scientists will be present at tables and will be ready to answer questions. Feel free to go and receive answers in:

  • GC and GC-MS
  • General HPLC/UPLC
  • LC-MS 
  • Achiral and chiral column technologies
  • Multidimensional separations and capillary electrophoresis

Dinner: 6:30 – 7:30 PM

Open Forum Discussion Topics: 7:30 – 8:30 PM

After dinner, several short discussions will occur on the following subjects:

  • A. Can two-dimensional chromatography be performed in the mobile phase domain?
  • B. Is it fair to use reduced plate height to compare the performance of totally-porous and superficially-porous (core-shell) particles? 
  • C. Will the resurgence of SFC be long-lived?
  • D. Write-in topic <will be addressed if possible>   

Vote here to help decide the order of presentations or to suggest an alternative topic.
