About
Eliza Hanson
Eliza Hanson graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from John Brown University. She then started her graduate work at the University of Notre Dame in Dr. Rebecca Whelan’s lab, focused on characterizing binding affinity of potential affinity reagents to cancer biomarker proteins. The Whelan lab moved to the University of Kansas, and Eliza earned a Master of Science in Chemistry from Notre Dame when she transferred to KU along with the lab. She defended her dissertation in spring 2024 and started her current postdoctoral research position at Rowan University in June 2024. She is currently working on capillary LC detection of clinically relevant analytes in complex biological matrices.
